Amitabh Bachchan and Rakesh Roshan are very popular Bollywood celebs, while Big B is a legendary actor and almost everyone wants to work with him, Rakesh Roshan is known as a director who has given many hit movies.
Though Rakesh Roshan started his career as an actor, he didn’t achieve as much success as Amitabh Bachchan and later Rakesh shifted to the field of direction field. However, have you ever thought why these two gentlemen never worked together?
Well, the reason behind it lies in an incident which took place in 1993. In an interview, Rakesh Roshan revealed that he offered the role of King Uncle in the movie “King Uncle” to Amitabh Bachchan as he wrote the whole script keeping him in mind but the actor pulled out of the project at the last moment citing the need to take a break from movies for 3-4 years. After Big B pulled out, the role was offered to Jackie Shroff and the movie also starred Shah Rukh Khan, Nagma and Anu Aggarwal in important roles.
Even after this incident, they both are on good terms and exchange pleasantries whenever they meet each other but they have never come together for a movie.
Though Amitabh Bachchan and Rakesh Roshan haven’t worked together, Big B has worked with Rakesh Roshan’s son Hrithik Roshan in two movies – “Lakshya” and “Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham”.
Amitabh Bachchan will be seen next in “Ganpath” (20 October 2023) which also stars Tiger Shroff and Kriti Sanon in lead roles. On the other hand, Rakesh Roshan directed “Krrish 4” is highly anticipated by movie lovers.
