So the football Giants will be back in September this year and both of them are bigger and better. Yes! we are talking about FIFA 18 and PES 2018. Both the games did pretty well last year and both had their uniqueness in terms of gameplay, graphics and the user interface.
More or less I think still PES 2017 gave a really tough competition to FIFA 17 but couldn’t beat it in terms of the User interface, online mode and of course it couldn’t outshine the Alex Hunter’s Journey mode. But again a huge load of gamers thought PES had a better gameplay last year in terms of passing and team coordination whereas cutting through the opposition was kind of tough in FIFA as one had to use skills or modifiers.

Well, answering the second question may start a huge debate in the comment section so let’s just avoid answering it. So all we going to talk about is what are the changes and then you decide which one would be better.
FIFA 18
1) Stadium details
EA sports has worked pretty well on the stadium details, you also might be able to observe the exact architecture and climate conditions the stadium usually has.
2) Journey mode part 2
The Journey mode in FIFA has been extended where Alex Hunter has to decide whether to stay or leave his existing club for a better club offer. The fans really loved the Journey mode last year but there are huge doubts if this part two would be as good as one because it doesn’t sound as interesting as the journey mode in FIFA 17 where Hunter starts his career from scratch.
3) Gameplay and Player Movements
The player movements this year is divided into five different archetypes. According to their body shapes. Now the taller player and the shorter players will have different leg and dribbling movements which they actually have and since Cristiano Ronaldo is the cover-boy this year his body movements, passing and shots will be exactly same. This will make the game look more realistic.
4) Icons
FIFA this year announced the icon edition which will also be featuring the Brazilian legend Ronaldo, you can also play with these icons in your FIFA Ultimate Team.
5) Graphics and animations
With that frostbite engine backing up for the 2nd consecutive year, FIFA has worked on their animation details a lot. As in FIFA 17, there was a new animation every step but now there would be a new animation every single frame which makes the gameplay a lot more good looking and convenient.

Remember how everyone kept saying that PES 15, PES 16 and PES 17 were just improvisations to one another and it didn’t have any major changes?
Well, turns out that KONAMI was working on PES18 in the background for a complete 3 years!
Every professional Youtube gamer who played PES 18 is talking about how massively it has changed. Here are some major changes they have brought
1) User Interface
They have worked pretty much on it and it’s looking eye pleasing. Now during the gameplay, you will see player statistics on the top corner of the screen and many such small details which will make you feel like you are watching a real football match on television and finally after thousands of fan requests PES has eventually used really player faces in the gameplan option instead of those rendered animated faces.
2) Stadium details
In an interview with IGN, a man from the KONAMI team told that they sent their people to Germany, Spain and different parts of the world to scan all the football stadiums inside out during the day and the night as well. They have used that data to create the exact replica of those stadiums and also used it to improve other unscanned stadiums.
3) Graphics and animations
Every year PES improves the animations and introduces or replaces 100s of animation details but since they had been working on this one for three straight years, PES 18 will have tens of thousands of animation details which you will observe as soon as you kick off.
4) Gameplay
Since the animations are improved the ball and dribbling movements have been improved too. Now players are smoother than before and you can make them move exactly how you think. You can tilt the player body from left leg to right leg just by a simple flick of your console stick. In addition to that, the goal scoring is now better. Like, you will score much more goals than you did in PES 2017. Well, it won’t be some long cracker shots but really good teamwork goals
5) Introducing new Legends
Football fans all around the world went crazy when David Beckham uploaded the PES 2018 teaser featuring him in the legends mode. The best part about this is that this year PES will feature different versions of Beckham. Like there may be Beckham 2007, Beckham 2010 etc.
