Sanjay Leela Bhansali is undoubtedly one of the best directors of the Indian film industry, in fact many believe that he is a magician who cast spells on the audiences with his movies. SLB focuses a lot on his characters, creation of beautiful sets and the music of his films which makes his flicks visually stunning and a treat for audiences.
However, do you feel that Bhansali’s movies are worthy of winning the Oscars? Well, the film producer Mahaveer Jain who has produced movies such as “Malaal”, “Ram Setu”, “Good Luck Jerry”, etc. feels that “Padmaavat” which starred Shahid Kapoor, Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone in the lead roles deserved an Oscar.
During an interview, Mahaveer Jain stated that “Padmaavat” was an Indian story with a global appeal and it had a great potential to bring the Oscar for the country. He further added that the manner in which Bhansali captured the Indian values and culture on the big screen is unprecedented and the larger-than-life image of the India women with dignity, royalty and sacrifice was mind-blowing in the film.
Mahaveer Jain strongly advises development of an ecosystem which grooms and trains youngsters for making movies that cater to the audiences across the globe. He also predicted that Shah Rukh Khan’s upcoming movie “Dunki” which is being directed by Rajkumar Hirani will break all the old records of the box-office. He also praised Rajkumar Hirani for his storytelling which creates an emotional connect with the audiences.
