The Indian cricket fans are very disappointed with their team’s performance in the semi-final match of the ICC T20 World Cup 2022 which India lost to England yesterday. The match was played at Adelaide Oval and England literally crushed the Indian squad as it won the match by 10 wickets.
The Indian batting was below par as KL Rahul once again failed against a mighty opposition and now almost everyone feels that he is minnows basher who can’t make runs against quality oppositions. The skipper Rohit Sharma’s slow innings of 27 runs for which he played 28 deliveries further increased the pressure on the Indian team and earlier dismissal of in-form batter Suryakumar Yadav made things difficult for India. Virat Kohli (50 runs, 40 balls, 4 fours & 1 six) and Hardik Pandya (63 runs, 33 balls, 4 fours & 5 sixes) played some good cricket and helped India in posting a competitive total of 168/6 in the 20 overs.
Though this target seemed to be insufficient for the strong batting lineup of England from the very beginning yet the manner in which the England openers charged at the Indian bowlers, no Indian cricketer would even have dreamed of. Skipper Jos Buttler (80 runs not out, 49 balls, 9 fours, 3 sixes) and Alex Hales (86 runs not out, 47 balls, 4 fours & 7 sixes) exposed the Indian bowling as they scored runs quite freely and won the match for their team in just 16 overs without even losing a single wicket.
While the Indian online users took to Twitter to express their unhappiness and annoyance, the Pakistani Twitter users used this as an opportunity to mock their neighbours. Here are some selected reactions:
Bhaiyo aik bhi out nahi kero gay kya?
