Govinda, the veteran actor, is missing from the screens nowadays but there was a time when he was one of the most sought lead actors of the industry as he is not just a good actor but a great dancer as well. Govinda’s pairing with Karisma Kapoor was a hit among the audiences and they both have given many superhit movies together.
Govinda made his acting debut in 1986 with “Ilzaam” which was a hit movie and after that, he gave a number of blockbuster movies. He got married to Sunita at a very young age and their marriage was kept a secret for four years because a married hero was less in demand at that time.
Govinda and Sunita appeared in an interview recently and when they were asked to tell the name of the actress with whom Govinda’s pairing would have been the best, both of them took the name of Madhuri Dixit Nene and Govinda also added Rekha ji.
Govinda stated that both these actresses had such long careers but there was no controversy in their whole career. He adds that the actresses who are beautiful inside always look beautiful and there is one thing to notice that both these actresses look as beautiful as they were when they started working in movies. He went to say that if he had not been married to Sunita, he would definitely have flirted with Madhuri.
Talking about their own love story, Govinda said that when they got married, he was 24 years old and Sunita was just 18. Talking about Sunita, Govinda said that she was very young and modern and he was afraid of being accused of molesting a child while dating her. As per Govinda, he said to Sunita that she is so young that she has no idea as to what she is saying but she responded by saying that she knows what she is saying and then she said ‘I love you’ to the actor.
Govinda and Sunita’s daughter Tina has tried her luck in movies but she hasn’t achieved much success and their son Yashvardhan will soon make his debut in acting.
