The new year began with terrible news when we found out about Kader Khan’s passing. The legendary comedy hero and scriptwriter left us with a gaping hollow in our hearts.
He had shifted to Canada with his family after strife within the industry and health issues. Recently, his health had deteriorated and he was put on a BiPAP ventilator as well.
Although Kader Khan had fallen out with Bollywood biggies like Amitabh Bachchan, he was still close to Govinda with whom he has acted in close to 41 films.
Some of their most popular films would include Saajan Chale Sasural, Dariyaan, Apmaan Ki Aag, Aankhein, Anari No.1, Rakhwale, Dulhe Raja and many more.
Govinda paid a heartfelt tribute to his on screen father.

He was not just my “ustaad” but a father figure to me, his midas touch and his aura made every actor he worked with a superstar. The entire film industry and my family deeply mourns this loss and we cannot express the sorrow in words. #ripkaderkhansaab🙏🏻”
