Who said ladies in India can’t do what men can? The age old myth has been proved wrong by ladies several times as they made their name in almost every field, including science, space, medical, politics, sports and entertainment.

If that was not enough, Kavita Devi aka Hard KD has become India’s first lady to get selected in World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE). Hard KD is the star student of The Great Khali, who himself was the first Indian to enter WWE and is a champion in the field too.

The former competitive power-lifter and South Asia Games gold medalist has been selected to participate in the Mae Young Classic, which is the first-ever tournament for women.

Hailing from Haryana, Kavita has undergone training to be a professional wrestler under the guidance of Khali at his Punjab-based wrestling promotion and training academy.

Hard KD participated in the WWE Dubai Tryout in April this year and will be taking on 31 other top female competitors from around the world in the Mae Young Classic tournament. The competition will be rolling on July 13-14 at Full Sail Live in Orlando, Florida.

Kavita shot to fame after a video of hers went viral on social media. In the video she’s seen wrestling in the ‘Salwar Kameez’ in The Great Khali promoted Continental Wrestling Entertainment (CWE) against a woman wrestler named B B Bull Bull. Watch the video-
