In Kolkata, the city of joy where people are always smiling sweetly, who would have thought that something so horrifying is hidden behind the veil. This is exactly the place where 44-year old Partha De, spent his days among the skeletons of his sister and 2 dogs. More startling is the fact that the men been an Information Technology engineer felt that it is absolutely normal to keep the dead body and have breakfast, lunch and dinner with them. Partha used to have breakfast, lunch and dinner with his sister Debjani’s skeleton, offering it food and even sleeping on the same bed, after she died in November last year.

And, if there is more scary to add to the story, it is the fact that, Partha De claimed very confidently that his sister came back to life every night to consume the eatables. The case would have not come into the light if not the father of Partho, Aurobindo Dey burnt himself to death.

The Dead Body Of His Sister Been Taken To Forensic Lab

“He claimed he could bring his sister back from death. A doctor said Partha was hallucinating. Initially he was tense but later became polite. There was no way one could believe he spent the past six months with three skeletons,” said a police officer.

But despite keeping the dead bodies for more than 6 months, there was hint of foul smell in the apartment which is dreading mystery in itself. “I may have committed what may be a crime in the eyes of the law,but I did it because I loved them, my sister and the dogs, and I couldn’t let them go.” said Partha De to the officer.

Surprisingly, his father who committed suicide left a note in which he said “I am leaving this world by my own free will. No one is to blame. I am 77 years old. Bless you all. Goodbye Partha. Love you, Love you.”

Parth De has been arrested with police for two bailable offences. He was presented in court on Thursday and sent to the Pavlov Mental Home at Gobra in east Kolkata.
