“I Wish That Didn’t Happen,” Stuart Broad Reveals Mental Impact Of Yuvraj Singh’s 6 Sixes - RVCJ Media

Stuart Broad is one of those few bowlers who have taken 600 wickets in test cricket and he has also served as the skipper of England’s ODI and T20I teams. Stuart Broad was a member of the team which won the 2010 ICC T20 World Cup and in 2015, he took retirement from limited overs format in order to focus on test format. Over the years, Stuart Broad has established himself as one of the best pacers of the current times but there was a time when he went through a rough phase.

In the 2007 T20 World Cup, during a match between England and India, Stuart Broad was smashed for six sixes in an over and he became the first bowler to get hit for six sixes in an over.

While addressing mediapersons, Stuart Broad also talked about that incident and he called it an important moment in his life, he called it a pretty tough day as he was just 21-22 at that time. He further said that he knew he had not performed well, he didn’t have pre-ball routine and he also didn’t have any focus at that time.

He added that he wished it wouldn’t have happened but he started his preparation on a warrior mode after this incident. As per Stuart Broad, what helped him is the fact that it was not a knockout match and it helped him turning himself into a competitor.

Happy retirement Stuart Broad!!!!
