Prabhas starrer “Salaar: Part 1 – Ceasefire” which also stars Prithviraj Sukumaran, Shruti Haasan and Jagapathi Babu in important roles has created a storm at the box-office as it has opened with the collections of Rs. 95 crore which makes it the biggest opening of the year.
“Salaar: Part 1 – Ceasefire” is directed by Prashanth Neel and as soon as the trailer of the movie was released, many fans were of the opinion that this movie is also a part of the “KGF” universe in which actor Yash played the lead role.
Well, the director categorically denied any similarity between his two movies but the actor Yash is still connected with “Salaar” and it is not because of any cameo or guest appearance. In the opening credits of the movie, there is a ‘thank you’ note for Yash and though the director or any other member from the “Salaar” team hasn’t talked about it yet fans feel that it is a way of showing gratitude to Yash as he attended the muhuratam shot and also got clicked with Prabhas and the other members.

As far as the similarity between “Salaar” and “KGF” is concerned, Prashanth Neel said in an interview that comparisons were drawn quite early even before the teaser came out as people started making theories. He added that it is his mistake that he didn’t come out and said it out loud that no part of “Salaar” is connected in any manner with “KGF”.
The actor Prithviraj Sukumaran also shed his opinion in this regard and said that he understands comparisons are being made between “Salaar” and “KGF” but it is premature for audiences to think so. He added that after watching “Salaar” for just 10 minutes, audiences will forget all the comparisons and they will understand that “Salaar” is far bigger than “KGF”.
Audiences also loved it when the title reveal video of Yash’s upcoming movie, “Toxic” was played during the interval of “Salaar”. Here is the video:
