When Yash announces a film, fans expect something big. But with Toxic, the excitement has reached another level altogether.
The teaser of the film, directed by Geetu Mohandas, dropped on Friday and instantly grabbed attention. Dark, intense and visually striking, the revenge drama promises a larger-than-life cinematic experience. But along with the buzz around the teaser, another question is making headlines, how much is Yash being paid for the film?
According to one media report, the actor is charging Rs 50 crore for his role. However, another report claims the amount could be as high as Rs 150 crore, since Yash is also one of the producers and may be including profit-sharing in the deal. That said, there is no official confirmation about these figures.
The teaser hints at a bold and violent new avatar for the “Rocking Star”. It moves between a circus-like setting and an East Asian-inspired world, blending different timelines into one dark, gritty story. While the visuals are intense and action-packed, the glimpse suggests the film is also focused on strong storytelling and powerful performances.

At the centre of it all is Yash himself, undergoing a striking transformation. From a lean and agile look to a rugged, battle-ready presence, his physical change reflects the effort he has put into the role.
Toxic is written by Yash and Geetu Mohandas and has been shot simultaneously in Kannada and English. The makers are planning dubbed versions in Hindi, Telugu, Tamil and Malayalam, aiming for a wide global reach.
The film also features Kiara Advani, Huma Qureshi and Tara Sutaria in key roles. Behind the scenes, a strong technical team is at work – cinematographer Rajeev Ravi, music composer Ravi Basrur, editor Ujwal Kulkarni and production designer TP Abid. The action is choreographed by Hollywood’s JJ Perry, known for John Wick, along with National Award-winning duo Anbariv and Kecha Khamphakdee.
Produced by Venkat K. Narayana and Yash under KVN Productions and Monster Mind Creations, Toxic is set for a grand theatrical release on March 19, 2026, during the festive weekend of Eid, Ugadi and Gudi Padwa.
