Makers Of “UnIndian” Starring Brett Lee Agreed To Cut Kiss Scenes BUT On This Condition

There is great news for all cricket fans as they will get to watch former Australian cricketer Brett Lee acting in an Australian romantic comedy “UnIndian” with Tannishtha Chatterjee soon. However before that, the makers have to deal with the censor board which has demanded that the duration of a lovemaking scene should be reduced from 65 seconds to 26 seconds.

The movie makers have decided to fulfill this demand of CBFC but they also want one condition of theirs to be accepted. They want CBFC to insert a line stating that this scene has been improvised as per the Indian audiences.

This is what the filmmaker Anupam Sharma said, “I have been asked to cut a lovemaking scene to get a U/A certificate. I have agreed since I don’t want to hold my distributors to ransom. But since that’s not my vision, I have requested the CBFC to insert a line declaring that the scene has been modified for the Indian audience.”

As per reports, the censor board was not happy with the scene and wanted “sideways visual and end climactic shot” to be deleted from the scene. What’s more, mantra chanting should not go with the scene.

Anupam feels that this cut will decrease the impact of the scene which makes him unhappy about these cuts but he is ready to fulfill the censor board’s demands provided that his one condition is also accepted.

Anupam further told Midday, “My advisers told me it is a rather unusual request, but I think it is fair that the audience is informed that is not how I directed the scene and have been forced to cut it. Let’s see how it goes.”

The movie is going to hit the theatres in October this year.
