Mark Zuckerberg Clarifies For Activating Safety Checks During Paris Attacks & Not Beirut.

There is no doubt that politics divide us, while there are many who got killed in Kenya attack yesterday, but what kept buzzing in the headline was Paris. The news feed was filled with people changing DP into tri-color and sharing images and post with #PrayforParis. But there was no one to come out in support for Beirut blast which killed more than two dozen people.

Amidst all the terror attacks, seemed like Facebook was also biased towards big countries, and did not bother about Beirut blast. The reason being, yesterday Facebook added the “Safety Check” feature, to ask people to mark themselves safe in the Paris attack through social media and spread the message to family and friends.

For Paris

Soon, Many tongues started wagging over the disparity by Facebook, and questioned Zuckerberg’s biasness over why just for Paris, such feature is being added and not for other countries like Beirut which was also the target of ISIS and two days before in an attack around 40-45 people were killed.

With messages pouring in for the biased feature, Mark Zuckerberg came out in open to clarify for this and shut everyone.

Here what he had to say!

All we can do is keep all the victims in our pray and wish for a peaceful world!

I pray for peace! Do you?
