‘Martyrs Not Beggars’ Tags Slam Mamata Banerjee For Rs. 2 Lakh Compensation To Uri Attack Martyrs

The Chief Minister of West Bengal, Mamata Banerjee announced a compensation of Rs. 2 Lakh to the families of the soldiers from West Bengal who lost their lives in the attacks of Uri. However, the amount offered was not good enough to value the sacrifices of our brave army men. Indeed, there’s nothing that can compensate to the loss of the families. However, financial-aid to a soldier’s family cannot be mere Rs. 2 Lakh, that’s unreasonable instead!

Everyone felt this was unfair because back in 2015, she had announced a compensation for Rs. 10 lakhs per family of pilgrims who lost their lives in Mecca Crash accident!
