It was in the year 2007 that the T20 World Cup started and it was won by India under the leadership of MS Dhoni who led the team in the next 5 editions of the tournament. In the 2021 T20 World Cup, Dhoni was not a part of the playing squad but he was there with the team in the capacity of a mentor so this is the first time that he is not a part of team India which is on the T20 World Cup campaign in any manner.

Recently, MSD attends a promotional event where the anchor says to the CSK skipper that we are so close to the World Cup and if he doesn’t ask a question related to cricket to Mahi, he is going to get lynched. Dhoni gives a very funny response to the anchor as he says that he is not playing the World Cup and the team has already left.

Here is the video which displays the wittiness of Mahi:

Mahi is the only skipper to win all the three major ICC tournaments – 2007 ICC T20 World Cup, 2011 ICC ODI World Cup and 2013 ICC Champions Trophy. He may have retired from international cricket but he still plays for Chennai Super Kings in the IPL and it is quite certain that he is going to lead the team in the IPL 2023. The IPL 2023 will have a bigger window, though the number of matches remain the same yet the time period will be from March to June.

Rohit Sharma led team India will be facing the arch-rival Pakistan in the first match of the tournament on Sunday (23 Oct 2022) at Melbourne Cricket Ground but things seem to be a little grim because as per the weather forecast, there are pretty good chances of the match getting washed out due to rain.

Well, that was a funny response from Thalaivaa! What do you say?
