MS Dhoni’s Video Saying He Would First Visit Indian Places Amid Maldives Row Goes Viral

#GoLakshadweep

The Maldives government is facing extreme heat after the three ministers of this government insulted the Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi as well as the Indian citizens. The Indians have taken it very seriously and they have now scratched Maldives from their list of favourite tourist places which they want to visit.

It all started after PM Modi visited Lakshadweep, shared some photos and asked the Indian citizens to visit the beautiful Indian Union Territory. The Maldives ministers felt that it is an attempt to make a dent in their tourism business as Indians account for 12 percent of the tourists who visit Maldives every year.

Though the Maldives government suspended these three ministers, the damage was already done and a huge number of flight tickets and hotel bookings were cancelled by the Indians which would certainly hurt the economy of Maldives which is solely dependent on tourism. If this was not enough, the opposition parties of Maldives have also come down heavily on the present government and there are good chances that no-confidence motion may come against the present government.

Many Indian celebs from sports and movies fields such as Virender Sehwag, Amitabh Bachchan, Akshay Kumar, Ranveer Singh, etc. slammed the Maldives ministers for their comments and spoke in regard to boosting Indian tourism rather than visiting foreign places.

Amidst all this, an old video of former Indian skipper Mahendra Singh Dhoni is going viral. In this video, MSD is seen answering a question in regard to visiting different places. He says that he has travelled a lot as a cricketer but he hasn’t visited many places, for him it was just about going, playing cricket and coming back. He adds that his wife Sakshi Dhoni loves travelling and now they are planning to visit different places but first they will visit Indian places because there are so many beautiful locations in India and then they will go to foreign locations.
