It won’t be wrong to say that Indian pacer Arshdeep Singh also made a great comeback in the third T20I against Sri Lanka as he was heavily slammed after the second T20I but in the final match, he was the highest wicket taker for India.

The second T20I was no less than a nightmare for the young pacer as he went to become the first Indian bowler to make a hat-trick of no-balls. He bowled consecutive three no-balls in his second over and then he bowled 2 more no-balls in another over because of which one more record got registered in his name – the Indian bowler with the highest number of no-balls in a T20I match. Overall, he is now the second bowler in the world to bowl 5 no-balls after New Zealand cricketer Hamish Rutherford.

Though Arshdeep Singh got slammed heavily for his no-balls by netizens, skipper Hardik Pandya and few former cricketers as well, a tweet from Indian cricketer Dinesh Karthik made things clear for everyone. He tweeted, “You’ve got to feel for Arshdeep Singh, just lack of match practice. It’s never easy”.

Nevertheless, soon after India won the third T20I, there were many who took to Twitter and talked about Arshdeep’s comeback in the match:

Here are some other reactions over India’s triumph:

As far as the match is concerned, India posted a huge total of 228/5 with the help of Suryakumar Yadav’s smashing knock of 112 runs not out (51 balls, 7 fours & 9 sixes) but the opposition got wrapped up at the score of 137 runs with 20 balls remaining in their innings and India won the match by 91 runs. While Arshdeep Singh took 3 wickets, Umran Malik, Yuzvendra Chahal and Hardilk Pandya took 2 wickets each and 1 wicket was taken by Axar Patel.

India and Sri Lanka will now clash against each other in the 3-match ODI series which will start from Jan 10 and the first ODI will be played at Barsapara Cricket Stadium, Guwahati, Assam.

Well played team India!!!!
