On one hand, it has brought us closer to the ones who are far away but on the other, there are many perverts who use this platform for wrong purposes and spread filth which is not at all acceptable or tolerable.
In fact, it won’t be wrong to say that cyber s*xual harassment is growing rapidly with each passing day as miscreants think that they are secure and can do anything behind their computer or mobile screens. At one fell swoop, it won’t be wrong to compare it with physical harassment as it gives mental agony, even though not physical pain.
Earlier women did not use to bring these incidents into the knowledge of public, as they were afraid of being ill-famed or rather preferred ignoring perverts. However, with changing time, there have been ample changes in the mindset of society and now females of our country dare to speak on these kinds of incidents publicly rather than keeping mum.
Recently, Sharmishtha Mukherjee, President Pranab Mukherjee’s daughter as well as a Congress leader, raised her voice and exposed a pervert who tried to s*xually harass her on Facebook.
In a Facebook post, Sharmishtha opened up about a miscreant named Partha Mandal who sent her vulgar messages. At first, she thought that she should just block and report the user but the next moment, she made up mind of exposing him so that other perverts like him get a lesson and other girls don’t have to go through the same mental distress as she suffered after this pervert tried to molest her virtually.
Just to quote some of the pervert’s lewd messages,
“Ki pore sue acho sexy. Bolo sona. Tomar bra size koto?”

“Are you lying down completely sexy? Say darling? What’s your bra size?”

“This pervert Partha Mandal is sending me dirty sexual messages. My 1st reaction was to ignore & block him. But then I thought the silence wud encourage him to find other victims. Just blocking & reporting is not enough. I strongly feel such ppl shd be publicly exposed & humiliated. I’m posting screenshots of his profile & messages he sent me. I’m also tagging him. Pls share this post & tag this rat as a msg that these pervert acts will not be taken lightly.”
