India and Pakistan, the countries who have lived with a hate-hate relationship for like forever. No one knows exactly when, where and who did this.
The people of both the countries want to go beyond this hatred. It is the people from these two countries, living around the world who have decided to break this stereotype. The hashtag #profileforpeace is trending on the micro blogging site, twitter and social networking site, facebook. People are writing strong messages and posting them along with their own pic. The message include texts like,
“I am an Indian, I Don’t hate Pakistan, I Don’t Hate Muslims, I respect your food choice , There Are Many Like Us!”
Yes, That’s right. Across the border, they are people like us only. Living similar lives, similar aspirations, similar love for the music, love for the stories from their grandparents, love for their choices of movies, festivities and love for their loved ones.
It all started with one individual, Ram Subramanian, who changed his profile pic and also also take part in the campaign. His tweet of the same started a whole new campaign, making many people following it and trending…
#ProfileForPeace enough of banning Pakistani artists. Enough hate politics. Make a similar profile picture. #SpeakUp pic.twitter.com/xuUFoMuJEl
