Baahubali has become a timeless classic that continues to be celebrated even a decade after its release. Directed by the visionary SS Rajamouli, the film made waves not just for its grand scale and storytelling but also for the powerful performances, especially the chemistry between Prabhas and Anushka Shetty. It shattered box office records and set a whole new benchmark for Indian cinema.
Now, as the film completes 10 years since its release in July, its legacy has once again captured the imagination of fans across the globe, including the Australian cricketer David Warner. Known for his love of Indian cinema, Warner recently shared photos of himself dressed as Baahubali, complete with a helmet and shield. His look was remarkably accurate and instantly grabbed attention.
In his post, Warner asked fans which version of his Baahubali costume they preferred, using the hashtag #Baahubali. The post sparked a series of amusing and enthusiastic reactions from social media users. Many playfully offered to cast him in a movie, with others jokingly calling him “Devendra Warnerbali” and complimenting how well the look suited him. Some even wondered if he was watching the epic film in Australia.

What made it even more special was that SS Rajamouli himself joined the fun. Responding to Warner’s costume photos, the director commented that it was time for him to dress like a true Mahishmati king and jokingly said that he would send him a royal helmet.
Baahubali: The Beginning, which was released on July 10, 2015, told the story of a boy raised by a tribal family who later discovers he is heir to the Mahishmati kingdom. Learning about his father Amarendra Baahubali’s bravery, he sets out to defeat the cruel ruler and reclaim his legacy. The sequel entitled Baahubali 2: The Conclusion continued the tale and both the parts were among the biggest hits in the Indian cinema history.
The films starred Prabhas in the lead role, along with Rana Daggubati, Anushka Shetty, Tamannaah Bhatia, Sathyaraj and Ramya Krishnan. Even after ten years, the Baahubali phenomenon refuses to fade, now reaching cricket fans and global celebrities alike.
