“Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai” is undeniably one of the most popular and loved TV shows at present with countless fans but there is some bad news for its viewers! In coming days, they won’t be able to watch much of Naksh and Gayu aka Gayatri, his reel life cousin.
Roles of Gayu and Naksh are portrayed by Kanchi Singh and Rohan Mehra respectively; however, this on-screen cousin Jodi seems to be more than just friends in real life! Well, we are not saying this but their Instagram accounts! And therefore, the channel has made up mind of downplaying their track!
The couple is often seen having lunch and dinner together and their Instagram accounts are full of candid pics which give an idea of their being more than just friends (if you know what I mean)!
Recently Rohan gifted her a decorated fish bowl along with special fish!
Since the duo is playing siblings, it was natural on the part of the channel to warn them about PDA, but it seems that they have made up mind of not listening to the channel!
“The channel had repeatedly hinted to Rohan and Kanchi that they should be a little more secretive about their relationship. They play cousins on screen and most daily soap viewers are extremely sensitive and conservative about image. So, the more Rohan and Kanchi become open about their feelings, the more it will clash with their on-screen image of siblings. Obviously, the channel did not like it,” revealed a source.
“Whenever the duo got candid during interviews, the channel would warn them. But they took it lightly and finally, the channel has decided to sideline their track,” added the source.
It is being said that the character of Naira played by Shivangi Joshi will be given more importance now. Naira is Naksh’s sister and the daughter of main lead Akshara and Naitik.
Previously Rohan was dating actress Yukti Kapoor; however, their relationship didn’t work and shortly, the actor met Kanchi and the rest is history!!
