Pahlaj Nihalani who was once among the most known Bollywood filmmakers became the chief of Censor Board in Jan 2015. As a Censor Board chief, he had extreme allergy from the films having bold or adult content. In his more than 2-year-old stint, he was responsible for chopping several important scenes in Bollywood films with unusual topics.
Even though he himself had produced many films with double meaning songs, he loved to flaunt his sanskaari side while judging other films which used to come for certification at Censor Board.
It was only in August 2017 that he was sacked as the chief of censor board and now within a month he is back at his real ways.
Pahlaj Nihalani has quit his sanskaari ways after being sacked from Censor Board and will be presenting the upcoming erotic film Julie 2.
Speaking to Mumbai Mirror, director Deepak Shivdasani said-
“I started writing the script in 2012 and had discussed the idea with Pahlaj Ji then. He loved it. He is family and after seeing it with his wife recently, he told me ‘Yeh film ab meri hai,’ and will be presenting it.”
When asked about the adult content, especially when Pahlaj himself cut down scenes from many such films, Deepak said-
“It’s a content-driven film and Pahlaj Ji had no objections to any of the scenes.”
Pahlaj Nihalani was even present at the trailer launch of Julie 2. As soon as the news about Pahlaj Nihalani presenting Julie 2 spread around the web, people started trolling him all over. Have a look at some tweets-
