He p*ssed away on March 24, 2025, in his hometown, Aligarh, after a prolonged battle with liver cancer. His final moments were spent surrounded by his family. Despite his creative contributions to the entertainment world, he reportedly struggled with financial difficulties and actress Shilpa Shinde extended her support by covering his medical expenses.
Shilpa Shinde, deeply affected by the loss, has alleged that medical negligence played a role in Manoj’s tragic d*mise. She stated that liver transplant takes place at KIMS, Secunderabad Hospital but the doctors are so inefficient that she is not sure whether they are doctors or barbers.
She shared her distress over the situation, revealing that while she had briefly traveled to Mumbai for work, Manoj had been left unattended during a critical time. Expressing her frustration, she described the medical system as a profit-driven industry that, in her view, failed to provide adequate care.
The actress recalled a pivotal moment when she received news that a liver had been arranged for Manoj, filling her with hope. However, her joy was short-lived as she was later informed that he had slipped into coma. She claimed that medical procedures, including dialysis, were being conducted even after it was evident that he had p*ssed away. Her grief was compounded by the belief that there had been serious lapses in his treatment.
Shilpa has taken a firm stance in speaking out against what she perceives as negligence and malpractice, insisting that such cases affect many patients who do not have a voice. Her outcry has ignited discussions about accountability in the healthcare system, particularly in critical care scenarios.
Manoj Santoshi’s contributions to Indian television were significant, shaping the humor and storytelling of much-loved sitcoms.
