A shocking news coming up just before the KXIP vs RR Match that one of the player from Rajhasthan Royals team has been offered money to fix matches in IPL.
Sources say that the Player was approached by his Ranji Teammate with an offer of money if he fixed up the matches before the play & that the RR Player has informed the same to BCCI’s Anti Corruption Team.
The Mumbai based RR player informed that he didn’t accept the offer and that he has taken this to the notice of some senior player in the Team who in-turn has reported this to Anti-Corruption & Security Unit.
The RR Player informed to the ACSU that he thought that his friend/Ranji teammate is playing around with him but then realized that he wasn’t joking when the Ranji player offered him money and asked the RR Player to follow pre-decided game pattern.
Talking on the issue Team Mentor Dravid Said – Stricter laws needs to be imposed to deal with such shameful acts like match fixing & spot-fixing.
Meanwhile Kings XI Punjab will face Rajhasthan Royal today in Pune.
