Meet The Travelers Who Fell In Love On Their Solo Trip In Hampi, One Trip Changed Their Lives

Travelling helps us to explore the beauty of mother nature and makes us think about ourselves, who we are, and what we want. Ever thought what is the best part of travelling you get to meet a bunch of new people.

Today, we are going to talk about two travel freaks who bumped into each other on a solo trip in Hampi. Things have changed since then from being strangers to friends to life partners.

Chandana Rao went to Hampi for her solo trip little did she know that she’ll get to meet her travelling partner for a lifetime. As Chandana belonged to a middle-class family, her desire to travel with her family in India was fulfilled only for a few times.

Chandana’s grandfather was an Indian army officer and his stories of exploring mother India used to encourage Chandana to witness the beauty of our country. Rao saved some money from her 9 to 5 job and decided to take a small break to visit UNESCO’s World Heritage site Hampi.

In May 2016, the travel freak went to Hampi for her solo trip and that’s when she met her husband Sunil for the first time at the Hospet bus stop. Well, ironically Sunil was on his solo trip too. Chandana had previously come across Sunil through her mutual friends on a social networking site as Sunil was a full-time traveler and had a travel page after quitting his job.

Chandana said to a leading traveling portal when they met each other for the first time in Hampi they didn’t know things will change. Chandana was taken aback by Sunil’s dedication towards travelling they shared their travelling bucket list and both felt that spark between them.

Back in November 2016, Chandana finally had the courage to quit her 9 to 5 job to pursue travelling as full-time work. The feeling of exploring the world with a shoestring budget with your partner is a different feeling altogether. The more you travel with a person you get to know that person more and more.

They started travelling together to strengthen their relationship from trekking to their first international trip together and since then there has been no looking back for the travelling buds.

The travel freaks can be titled as the shoestring budget backpackers, they went on some crazy trips and their budget will surprise you. Both of them went on an adventure trip together in Gujarat for 13 days for Rs. 4906 (which includes their travelling allowance) and another in Rajasthan for 15 days for Rs. 7200 (which includes their travelling allowance). These crazy trips made them realise they were on the same wavelength.
