2017 is going to end soon, so it is the time to sit and do a little analysis of what we achieved and what we missed. Google also did a little analysis and figured out the top trended searches that were made through the search giant by the Indians.
The top two topics in which Indians showed their maximum interest were Bollywood and Cricket. While “Baahubali 2: The Conclusion” was the most trended movie, Indian Premier League was the second most trended search of 2017 and it was followed by “cricket scores”.
Among the top 10 most searched songs of 2017 in India, only two didn’t belong to the Bollywood category and they were Ed Sheeran’s “Shape of You” and “Despacito”. Sunny Leone trended as the most searched Indian entertainer followed by Bigg Boss 11 contestants Arshi Khan and Sapna Choudhary.
Among the “What is” queries, it was Goods and Services Tax (GST) which took all the limelight as it is the new tax regime which was implemented on 1st July, 2017. Still there are many doubts in the minds of Indian citizens and they are resorting to Google to clear their doubts.
The manner in which the Central government is promoting Aadhaar, it is obvious that it figured on the top of the “How to” queries as maximum number of people wanted to know how to link their Aadhaar Card with the PAN card. Well, a couple of questions are really weird and funny in this list and you might wonder that people searched such things on Google.
