You all must have been waiting to know the review and public’s reaction on the new release of Salman Khan and Sonam Kapoor “Prem Ratan Dhan Payo” and unsurprisingly, it’s successfully recorded an inevitable bumper opening, crossing the mark of Rs. 40 crores. Yes, you heard that right!! This time Salman Khan has beaten himself and this record is much higher than his other movies. As the movie is of 3 hours, the late night shows were not going to be full, particularly which start after 10:30 pm as it will result in closing of halls around 2 AM.
However, since “Prem Ratan Dhan Payo” appeared to be a family movie, there was a huge crowd of family audience that clearly implicates huge earning due to selling of more and more tickets, as it isn’t something only couples would feel comfortable watching and now-a-days, there are very few Bollywood movies the whole family can watch together. It obviously reflects that the duo of Sallu & Sooraj Barjatya will have a great weekend from the earning point of view. Nevertheless, if we analyze the movie from critical approach, it’s got a mixed reaction and now, it all depends on how public represents it before others.
Prem Ratan Dhan Payo recorded the opening day collection Rs. 40.5 crores which is much higher than that of Bajrangi Bhaijaan which was Rs. 27.25 crores.
