Railway Minister Mr. Suresh Prabhu today announced his first Railway Budget for the Year 2015-16.
To start with it’s a Budget totally inclined towards growth which spares the common man from hikes in ticket price & assures safety, cleanliness & realiablity.

1. No Increase In Passenger Fares!!

2. SMS Alerts to be introduced for Train Timings!

3. WiFi to be available at 400 Railway Stations!
4. No new Trains announced!
5. On-Board Entertainment Facility could be extended on Shatabdi Trains
6. To Improve cleanliness & design of bed linen!
7. 7000 more Toilets to be replaced by Bio-Toilets. New Tiolets at 650 stations more vacuum toilets.
8. Passenger travelling unreserved can procure a ticket within 5 Minutes!
9. Mobile application to address complaints of people is also being developed!
10. Hand-held devices for ticket checkers for moving towards paperless ticketing!
11. CCTVs to be introduced in selected trains & suburban trains for women safety!
12. Tickets can be booked 120 days in advance instead of 60 days!
13. Introducing train sets saving 20% of journey time, similar to bullet trains in design and that can run on existing tracks!
14. Railways to go through transformation in five years; to increase track capacity by 10%
15. To set up full fledged Railway University in FY-16
