“Stop Virat Kohli From Congratulating Team India In ICC Matches”, Cricket Fan Starts Petition

The Indian cricket fans are heartbroken at the moment as the first Indian men’s team gave a disappointing performance in the New Zealand tour and recently, the Indian women’s team lost the finals of the ICC T20 World Cup 2020 which they played against Australia.

What makes it more disheartening is the fact that the Indian women’s team remained unbeaten till the finals and they had even defeated Australia in one of the league matches. Some time back, the Indian U-19 team also lost the World Cup final to Bangladesh which was played in South Africa.

After the Indian women’s team reached the finals, many people took to the micro-blogging site Twitter to congratulate them and one of them was Indian skipper Virat Kohli. He tweeted,

“Congratulations to the Indian Women’s team on qualifying for the @T20WorldCup final. We are proud of you girls and wish you all the luck for the finals.”

The Indians fans were already pretty upset with Virat Kohli and after this tweet they started trolling him for his poor form and some of them even went to the extent of calling him ‘panauti’ and his wish tweets as curse.

Former Indian cricketer Virender Sehwag has also came under the radar of the Indian cricket fans and his wish tweet is also considered responsible for bringing bad luck to the Indian women’s team. Viru also congratulated the Women In Blue after they reached the finals on Twitter and he wrote,

“Would have loved seeing the semi-finals but Indra Devta ke aage kaun jeet sakta hai.

Mehnat ka parinaam achha milta hai. A reward for Winning all the matches in the group stage. Congratulations @BCCIWomen and wishing you glory this Sunday #T20WorldCup”

Now an online user Abhinay Thakur has started a campaign on Change.org in which he has demanded that Virat Kohli and Virender Sehwag should not be allowed to congratulate team India units before important matches , especially semi-finals and finals of the ICC tournaments and if they do so, their social media accounts should be suspended. According to the user, the good luck wishes from both these cricketers are curse and the same is the reason behind this demand.
