Deepika Padukone’s first look of Project K is getting loved by the audiences and her fans are quite sure of one more strong performance from her. One of the strongest performances that Deepika gave was in the movie “Padmaavat” in which she played the character of Rani Padmavati and her acting was applauded even by her haters.
“Padmaavat” was directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali and it also starred Shahid Kapoor and Ranveer Singh in important roles. Ranveer Singh who played the character of Alauddin Khilji in the movie had quit “Padmaavat” at one point of time for unknown reasons after which Bhansali thought of signing Shah Rukh Khan for this role.
The King of Romance heard the script; he liked it and was ready to do the movie but on one condition. Shah Rukh Khan said to Bhansali that he would do the film only if its title is changed because his fans would not like to see him working in a movie which is titled after a woman. There is no denying the fact that SRK enjoys a huge fan base all over the world and they are very possessive and passionate about their favourite star.
This made Sanjay Leela Bhansali quite worried as Deepika Padukone had told him earlier that she would leave the movie if its title is changed. SLB and Deepika share a very special bond as they have worked in quite a few movies which have performed well at the box-office.
Luckily for Sanjay Leela Bhansali, Ranveer Singh returned and the director was saved from stress. However, the name of the movie was still changed as it was slated to be Padmavati but due to intense protests against the movie, the name was changed to “Padmaavat”.
