Tamannaah Bhatia, a leading name across Indian cinema, continues to shine in an industry that spans languages, genres and platforms, from blockbuster films to critically acclaimed OTT series. Addressing the long-standing speculation surrounding her and former Indian cricket captain Virat Kohli, Tamannaah firmly denied any romantic involvement. She recalled having met him only once during a commercial shoot, an encounter that, despite being brief and purely professional, had spiraled into a full-blown rumour mill.
The viral photo from that shoot, taken in the early 2010s, had fuelled assumptions of a relationship, assumptions she now dismissed as entirely unfounded. There had been no further meetings or communication between them since that day.
Equally surprising was a separate rumour that claimed she had secretly married former Pakistani cricketer Abdul Razzaq. The origins of this story, she revealed with amused disbelief, lay in a simple photograph taken at a jewellery store event they both happened to attend. Brushing off the speculation with a laugh, she jokingly apologised to Abdul Razzaq on camera, highlighting the absurdity of the Internet’s tendency to jump to conclusions, particularly when the cricketer is known to be married and having children.
Though she approached the subject with levity, Tamannaah acknowledged the discomfort such rumours bring. The tendency of the media and public to fabricate associations, even when there is no real connection, is something she described as awkward and unmanageable. Over time, she has learned to accept that such narratives are an unfortunate by-product of fame and that it’s impossible to control what people choose to believe.
Despite these intrusive stories and the endless swirl of gossip, Tamannaah remains composed, addressing them not with outrage but with perspective and this is what makes her one of the most loved actresses of all times.
