It was a night of celebration for Rashmika Mandanna as her latest film The Girlfriend continued to receive love from audiences and critics alike. The team recently hosted a grand success party in Hyderabad, attended by several celebrities. However, what truly stole the limelight was not the film’s box-office glory but a sweet, unexpected gesture from Vijay Deverakonda that quickly went viral.
In a video circulating online, Vijay was seen congratulating Rashmika at the event. As the two greeted each other, he affectionately kissed her hand, a moment that instantly melted hearts across social media. Fans flooded the Internet with heart emojis and comments, reigniting long-standing rumours about their relationship.

For months now, whispers about Vijay and Rashmika’s engagement have been making the rounds. Reports claim that the Geetha Govindam and Dear Comrade duo secretly exchanged rings on October 3, 2025, during an intimate ceremony at Vijay’s residence in Hyderabad. The private event, attended only by close family and friends, was reportedly “elegant and personal”, as per sources quoted by a leading news channel.
Adding to the excitement, insiders suggest that the couple is planning a royal wedding on February 26, 2026, at a luxury palace in Udaipur, Rajasthan. Though neither actor has confirmed the news, fans are convinced that their on-screen chemistry has blossomed into a real-life love story.
The speculation only grew stronger when Rashmika shared a video of her pet dog Aura in October with eagle-eyed fans spotting a sparkling ring on her finger. Around the same time, Vijay was photographed during a temple visit wearing what looked like a matching band.
Their connection goes back to 2018, when they first starred together in Geetha Govindam, followed by Dear Comrade in 2019. Since then, the duo has often been seen together at public events and outings, keeping fans guessing about their off-screen bond.
Amid all the personal buzz, Rashmika has remained focused on celebrating her professional success. Sharing her gratitude on Instagram, she thanked audiences for embracing The Girlfriend and wrote that their love and support meant the world to her. The film, produced by Dheeraj Mogilneni and Vidya Koppineni, also stars Anu Emmanuel and Rao Ramesh in key roles.
Recently, Rashmika was also spotted interacting warmly with fans while exiting a venue. Though surrounded by a large crowd, she paused to take a selfie with a woman who approached her, a gesture that reflected her humility and affection toward her admirers.
While The Girlfriend continues to soar at the box office, it is clear that Rashmika and Vijay’s off-screen story is what gaining more attention for being a mix of real-life romance and reel-life nostalgia that has everyone waiting for a fairytale ending.
