Naming the baby is one of the special moments for parents. It was not only Pope Benedict to ban certain baby names but there are many countries in the world, which have banned certain names of babies. Lets see the banned baby names in different countries of world.
1. In the land of the Rising Sun, Japan it is illegal to name your baby “Akuma” as known as Devil.
2. There was a Chinese couple who named their baby @, which was naturally banned by the Chinese authorities.
3. For which ever reason, you are not allowed to name your baby as “Elvis” or “Superman” in Sweden.
4. In Scandinavian countries, the name “Anus” is being banned by the approval of the government and various parents.
5. There are various named banned in New Zealand which includes such other titles like Prince, Princess, King, Major, Sargent and Knight.
6. Famous Daughter name “ Alice” is banned in Saudi Arabia.
7. Any baby name which does not mention clearly whether it is a girl or a boy is banned by the German authorities.
8. Any name of insect, animal, color, royal name or Japanese car name is illegal using in Malaysia. One such example would be Chow Tow which means smelly head in Cantonese.
