Presently, he is playing in the inaugural SA 20 league and is leading Johannesburg Super Kings which is owned by the Indian Premier League franchise Chennai Super Kings. The T20 tournament has started on 10th January and just before the start of the tournament, Faf du Plessis attended a show in which he was asked 25 questions in a special segment.

When Faf is asked to name the bowler whom he feels is the toughest to play in the current times, the Proteas batter thinks for a while before taking the name of England pacer Jofra Archer. The English pacer is back on the field after a long gap of 541 days as he was injured and in the opening match of the SA 20 league, he played an important role in his team MI Cape Town’s win by taking 3 wickets of Paarl Royals. Jofra Archer will soon be back at international level as he has been selected for the upcoming tour of South Africa.

When the Proteas cricketer is asked to name three players who would be a part of his all-time playing XI, the 38 years old cricketer takes names of former South African cricketer AB de Villiers, Afghanistan cricketer Rashid Khan and former Sri Lankan pacer Lasith Malinga.

On being questioned what he would have been doing if he had not been a cricketer, he responded that he would have been a surfer. The cricketer who leads Royal Challengers Bangalore in the IPL further says that though he is not good at surfing, he would have been a surfer because he feels that it is a nice way of living, travel the world and surf on the beautiful waves. He adds that though it doesn’t sound much glamorous, it would have been really a cool thing to do for livelihood.

The cricketer was also asked about the one cricketer whom he sledged but regretted later and Faf du Plessis took the name of Kiwi cricketer and test captain of New Zealand team – Kane Williamson.

Those were really some cool revelations, what do you say?
