Some Bollywood celebrities play an important role in endorsing products as they have a huge fan following and people like to copy them too. However, there are certain products, such as liquor, tobacco, cigarette, etc. which are harmful for health but still they are promoted by few celebrities just for the sake of a huge amount of money that they make from them.
Ajay Devgn is one of the most successful actors of the Hindi film industry and he promotes quite a few handful products including a tobacco brand. One of his fans named Nanakram (40) who is from Rajasthan has made an appeal to the “Golmaal” actor to stop endorsing tobacco products in the interest of society.
Nanakram’s son Dinesh Meena told that his father started consuming tobacco product few years ago and as he is pretty impressed by Ajay Devgn, so he started consuming the same brand which was promoted by the actor.
However now after getting diagnosed with cancer, he has understood how adversely tobacco can affect people’s health so he is making an appeal to Ajay Devgn to stop promoting such products.
Around 1000 pamphlets have been circulated and pasted on the walls of Sanganer, Jagatpura and other nearby areas. The pamphlets are addressed to Ajay and he has been asked to tell how much tobacco he and his family consume.
In the pamphlets, the father of two has stated that products like liquor, tobacco and cigarettes should not be promoted by the celebrities as they are very harmful for health. Nanakram is not able to speak now and he takes care of his family by selling milk in Sanganer town while earlier, he used to run a tea stall.

@ajaydevgn @KajolAtUN would this be a wake up call for celebrities to not endorse products which are not just harmful but deadly. Tobacco, liquor, carbonated drinks are really bad for adults and kids. Kindly take a heed of this. @ANI @indiatvnews

This requires a cancer patient fan to appeal? Shameless celebrities don't know tobacco causes cancer & pan masala spits and stains in public places do not add glory to Swachhta of Bharat?
Ofcourse they know everything, but money is God for them. @ajaydevgn

We completely agree with Nanakram and hope that celebrities will take necessary actions in the appropriate direction after this incident has come to light.
