All is not well in the Pandya house, yes we are talking about Pandya brothers – Hardik Pandya and Krunal Pandya but this time, the news is not about them but their lesser known step-brother – Vaibhav Pandya.
The Economic Offences Wing of the Mumbai Police department arrested Vaibhav on 8 April on the charges of cheating, forgery, criminal conspiracy, criminal breach of trust, criminal intimidation along with some other relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code. As per the reports, Vaibhav has cheated the Pandya brothers to the tune of Rs. 4.25 crore and the court has sent him to police custody till 12 April.
As per the reports, the Pandya brothers and Vaibhav Pandya started a polymer business firm in 2021, while Vaibhav infused 20 percent share in the capital, the Pandya brothers infused 40 percent each and as per the agreement, the profits would also get divided in the same manner. It was decided that Vaibhav would look after the daily operations of the business but he broke the trust of his partners by opening a separate firm which dealt in the same business and he kept the Pandya brothers in dark.
Later on, Vaibhav diverted some money from the Limited Liability Partnership firm in his own firm, eventually the profit of LLP firm dropped and after that, he increased his share of profit in the partnership without the knowledge of the Pandya brothers and for this purpose, he forged the signatures of Hardik and Krunal.
When Hardik and Krunal came to know about it, one of them confronted Vaibhav and he warned the Pandya brothers of severe consequences.
The investigation is currently going on and the investigators feel that more people are involved in this fraud and soon they may make more arrests.
As of now, Hardik and Krunal are playing in the IPL 2024, while Hardik is leading Mumbai Indians, Krunal Pandya is playing for Lucknow Super Giants.
