Kussh Sinha, Sonakshi Sinha’s brother, has finally spoken out about the swirling rumours of a family rift following her marriage to actor Zaheer Iqbal. In an interview, Kussh dismissed speculation that he and his brother Luv Sinha were absent from the intimate wedding ceremony. He firmly clarified that he was indeed present at the event and brushed aside the online chatter as baseless noise.
Reflecting on the situation, Kussh said that he leads a simple life and is unaffected by external opinions as long as he knows his own truth. He acknowledged that there had been “random chatter” about his absence but insisted it was driven by others’ agendas, not reality. He emphasised that just because he didn’t appear in photos doesn’t mean he was not there. For him, not everything needs to be shared publicly and he prefers keeping certain things personal.
When questioned about his brother Luv Sinha’s absence from the wedding, Kussh respectfully declined to speak on behalf of either Luv or Sonakshi. He underlined the importance of allowing each person the space to make their own decisions, as long as they do so with honesty. According to him, everyone is entitled to live life on their terms and it’s not his place to comment on their choices.
Kussh also expressed his support for Sonakshi’s life decisions. He acknowledged that while he might not be deeply involved in her day-to-day affairs, he respects the path she chooses. Echoing the wisdom of their father, veteran actor Shatrughan Sinha, Kussh pointed out that Sonakshi is an adult and fully capable of making her own choices and importantly, she isn’t doing anything illegal.
Addressing his relationship with Sonakshi’s husband Zaheer Iqbal, Kussh kept things simple and direct, stating that they are on cordial terms and that he has no issues with him.
Sonakshi Sinha and Zaheer Iqbal got married on June 23, 2024, in a quiet civil ceremony attended by close friends and family. Photos from the wedding, which featured their father Shatrughan Sinha posing with the couple, made rounds on social media. However, the visible absence of Luv Sinha gave rise to speculation about possible tension within the family rumours which Kussh Sinha has now definitively put to rest.
