During a recent interaction, she openly spoke about her desire to take on more complex and unconventional characters. She expressed that she is particularly interested in playing flawed individuals, as they feel more real and relatable. According to her, such roles offer depth and allow actors to explore different shades of human emotion.

She also highlighted a larger issue in the industry, the lack of diverse and authentic stories centered around women. Mrunal pointed out that while some films have made a strong impact in the past, there is still a need for more projects that break stereotypes and present women in a more realistic way. She believes that meaningful storytelling can change how female characters are written and perceived in Indian cinema.

Looking ahead, Mrunal will also be seen in the romantic comedy Hai Jawaani Toh Ishq Hona Hai, alongside Varun Dhawan and Pooja Hegde. The movie, which was earlier scheduled to release on April 10, 2026, has now been postponed to June 5.
