However, nothing came easily to everyone’s beloved “The Rock”. You’ll be surprised to know but even he had to fight depression and his share of lows to eventually reach the highs.

During an Interview with The Express, Dwayne Johnson revealed that he has struggled with low moods all his life. Recalling one of the devastating incidents of his childhood he tells that his family faced poverty and they were evicted from their home in Tennessee.

He talks about his mom and how she found it hard to fight the trauma-

“She got out of the car on Interstate 65 in Nashville and walked into oncoming traffic. Big rigs and cars were swerving out of the way. I grabbed her and pulled her back on the gravel shoulder of the road”

He further tells-

“What’s crazy about that suicide attempt is that to this day, she has no recollection of it whatsoever. Probably best she doesn’t.”

Talking about his own fight, he tells that he faced a huge mental setback when his name was dropped from the Canadian Football league. He told that it happened at the same time when his long-term girlfriend also broke up with him.

He said-

“I reached a point where I didn’t want to do a thing or go anywhere. I was crying constantly. That was my absolute worst time. We both healed but we’ve always got to do our best to pay attention when other people are in pain. We have to help them through it and remind them they are not alone.”
