1. The big CE mark denotes the manufacturer’s declaration that means the product meets the requirements of the applicable EC directives. By putting up the CE marking on a product, a manufacturer declares, at its sole responsibility, conformity with all of the legal requirements to achieve CE marking which allows free movement and sale of the product throughout or outside the European Economic Area.

2. The Dustbin Mark is a warning in its own that that asks you to not to throw it away like any other garbage. Such kind of electronic products are considered as electronic waste after their life cycle is over. Instead of dumping them right away, we should recycle them in accordance with the Waste Electronic and Electrical Equipment directive.

3. The House Symbol indicates that the product is for Indoor use only and can’t be used for industrial purpose as it can’t take such heavy loads. It can usually run at standard house voltage which is usually 200-220 Vols in India.

4. The Double Square is the indication of the product being double insulated which is indeed a sign of safety for the users. Insulation is a must for electrical products.

5. The PCT logo indicates that the product is in conformance with the GOST R Standards. GOST stands for gosudarstvennyy standart in Russian language which means state standard and R for Russia. GOST refers to a set of technical standards maintained by the Euro-Asian Council for Standardization, Metrology and Certification (EASC), a regional standards organization operating under the auspices of the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS).

6. The ‘V’ symbols tells us about the efficiency level. These levels help us understand about the no power requirement and average efficiency requirement . Many countries have set different levels, although each of them follow stringent measures so that even all external power supplies shipped across the borders meet the efficiency level .
