Mohammed Siraj, the Indian pacer is currently all over social media after his magnificent bowling performance in the finals of the Asia Cup 2023 which India played against Sri Lanka. The match was played yesterday at R Premadasa Stadium, Colombo and after winning the toss, the hosts decided to bat first but this match was no less than a nightmare for the Sri Lankan squad as the whole team got all out for just 50 runs in 15.2 overs.
Mohammed Siraj destroyed the Sri Lankan batting lineup as he dismissed four batters in one over and a funny incident also took place in that over. Mohammed Siraj had a hattrick chance on the fifth delivery of his second over. Dhananjaya de Silva was the batter on strike, Siraj bowled a full-length delivery which was pushed to mid-on by Dhananjaya and the Indian pacer ran passionately to field the ball but eventually it went for a four.
Siraj running till boundary brought smile on the faces of many Indian cricketers and Virat Kohli and Shubman Gill were caught laughing on the camera.

The Indian openers Shubman Gill (27*) and Ishan Kishan (23*) chased the target successfully in just 6.1 overs and ensured that the Indian team won the match by 10 wickets.
Mohammed Siraj was adjudged as the Player of the Match and the Indian spinner Kuldeep Yadav was adjudged as the Player of the Tournament.
This win holds a lot of importance for the Indian team as the ICC ODI World Cup 2023 is going to start from October 5 and now the Indian squad will start their campaign with high confidence.
