Zomato Finally Reacts To The Strike Held By Delivery Executives

Zomato, the online food delivery app, is once again in the news and this time also because of its religious issues. However, this time, the zomato valets are saying that their religious sentiments are getting hurt as they are being asked to deliver those food items which are prohibited in their religion.

The delivery guys have decided to go on a strike in West Bengal’s, Howrah from Monday and have refused to deliver beef or pork during the festival of Bakri Eid or Eid al-Adha which is in 12th August (Monday).

The Zomato valets have demanded that they want to get fulfilled from the management. Firstly, their pay order should be revised and secondly, their religious sentiments should not be hurt in the future.

Zomato has finally reacted to the protest held by the Zomato executives in West Bengal, Howrah. The statement reads, in a country as diverse as India, it is not possible to make sure the vegetarian and non-vegetarian preferences into delivery logistics.

They further said, delivery valets are unambiguously made to understand the practical nature of the job as they choose to enter the workforce. A small group of partners in Howrah who have raised concerns and we are looking to resolve the matter as quickly as possible.
