The 5-match test series between India and England will be crucial for both the teams as far as their campaign in the World Test Championship is concerned and if India has to do well in the series, then Virat Kohli who is currently at number 6 in the ICC Test Rankings will need to play some big innings.
The former Indian skipper is going through a wonderful phase of his career and he will certainly like to score maximum runs in this test series and at the same time, the Indian team will also have the home advantage.
The England pacer Ollie Robinson is quite excited for the series as he has a good record against India and he will like to add some more wickets to his tally and help his team win matches. Ollie has played 4 test matches against India and has taken 21 wickets including two fifers but it won’t be easy for him to repeat his success on the Indian soil, especially when he is touring India for the first time.
Ollie has dismissed India’s best test batter Virat Kohli three times in England and he is pretty excited and looking forward to the battles with Virat.
Ollie Robinson says that he likes to play against the best players and get them out and Virat Kohli is also one of them. He further says that it will be quite exciting as Virat Kohli has a big ego and he will certainly like to dominate and score runs in India.
This tour is important for Ollie Robinson because if he is able to perform well, then his place in the England team can get cemented.
The first test match will be played from 25 January 2024 at Rajiv Gandhi International Cricket Stadium, Hyderabad.
