Actress-dancer Nora Fatehi is admired across India for her beauty, fitness and dance skills and she is certainly a popular face in Bollywood. She has a huge fan following but admiration often turns unhealthy when it turns into obsession. A recent case in Ghaziabad shows how a woman’s life was shattered when her husband forced her to live up to Nora Fatehi’s image.
The woman, newly married to Shivam Ujjwal, a government physical education teacher, complained that her husband made her exercise for three hours every day, threatening to keep her hungry if she doesn’t exercise. She said that he constantly pressurised her to look like the actress, often ridiculing her appearance despite her normal height, health and looks.
According to her complaint, the harassment began soon after their marriage on March 6, 2025. She alleged that her husband repeatedly told her his life was ruined by marrying her and that he could have found someone more attractive like Nora Fatehi. His obsession with other women, including watching inappropriate photos and videos online, added to her humiliation.

The situation worsened when she became pregnant as she accused her husband of secretly giving her abortion pills. Alongside this, she also claimed her in-laws subjected her to mental and physical torture over dowry demands. Although her family had already spent around ₹76 lakh on the wedding, including jewelry (Rs. 16 lakh), cash (Rs. 10 lakh) and a luxury car (Mahindra Scorpio worth Rs. 24 lakhs), the pressure allegedly continued.
The police have now registered a case against her husband, his parents and his sister. An investigation is underway to look into the serious allegations of abuse, dowry harassment and forced abortion.
