In a recent interview, Raghav Juyal shared that his decision to stay away from comedy for a while was a deliberate one. He revealed that even though he was offered several comic roles, he turned them down because he wanted to be seen as more than just a funny man. He further said that doing Kill helped him prove his mettle as a serious actor and changed the way filmmakers perceived him. After the success of that film, he began receiving offers as a lead actor, which gave him the confidence that his hard work had paid off.
Talking about returning to comedy with Aryan Khan’s project, Raghav Juyal said that Aryan was a considerate and insightful director who paid close attention to his comfort on set. He recalled how Aryan made sure his doubts were heard and gave him some of the most memorable scenes in the show. Raghav admitted that he was initially unsure about playing the hero’s friend but Aryan’s clarity and confidence in his vision helped him embrace the role wholeheartedly.
Raghav Juyal also spoke warmly about his growing closeness with the Khan family. He said that over time, Aryan, Shah Rukh and Suhana have become like family to him and he continues to learn from them. He praised Aryan for his boldness as a filmmaker, noting that many directors take years to find their voice but Aryan knew exactly what he wanted from his very first project and pursued it fearlessly.
