The year 2018 is lined up with promising films. 2018 is on its way to becoming one of the most positive as well successful years for the Bollywood Industry. There were enormous expectations in 2017. However, the movies in 2017 couldn’t do well and turned out to be underwhelming both for the audiences as well as the industry. The year 2018 started high with the blockbuster success of Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Padmaavat. The movie earned 300 Crores.
Then movies like Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety and Baaghi 2 kept the cash records ringing.
Raazi and Parmanu were also highly appreciated by the audiences. These movies made May one of the strongest ever seen by Bollywood. In June, we have two biggest blockbusters of the year, Salman Khan’s Race and Sanjay Dutt’s Biopic Sanju starring Ranbir Kapoor. Sanju is breaking all the records and has already collected more than 140 Crores in 4 days.
We hope this will continue. There are a few upcoming big releases lined up for the latter half of this year which we believe will earn a lot. Here are our predictions for the upcoming films in 2018:
Gold
The Akshay Kumar starrer Gold is slated to release this Independence Day. The movie will face a clash with John Abraham’s Satyameva Jayate. The movie can earn around 120 Crores.
Total Dhamaal
Total Dhamaal is a sequel to 2011 released Double Dhamaal and third sequel to the series of Dhamaal. If we talk about the series of Golmaal, it was a hit multi starrer comedy franchise and Total Dhamaal is on the same lines. This movie can earn between 100-150 Crores.
Thugs of Hindostan
The movie stars Aamir Khan in the lead. Mr. Perfectionist has been breaking various records every now and then. We expect the same from his upcoming. The movie is scheduled to release on Diwali. The movie has an interesting idea and talented star cast. For record-breaker Aamir, 400 Crores is not that far.
Zero
Shah Rukh Khan’s last few films didn’t perform well at the box-office. Almost all of his films clash with other actor’s films now. Zero has been getting positive responses. It can earn between 200-250 crores. If it does well, it may affect Simmba’s box office collection which would be releasing one week later.
Simmba
Simmba will mark the debut of Saif’s daughter Sara Ali Khan into Bollywood. Directed by Rohit Shetty, the movie is a high dose of comedy and action. It also stars Ranveer Singh in the lead. This energetic combo of Rohit Shetty and Ranveer Singh is likely to earn between 150-180 Crores.
