CM Yogi Made A Tweet Showing Indian Flag Upside Down, Got Trolled & Had To Delete His Tweet

Yogi Adityanath, the Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh, is on a 3-day visit to Mauritius to attract investors and businessmen for investing in his state.

He has become the target of internet trolls after he tweeted an image of himself signing the visitor’s register in the Apravasi Ghat. In this pic, it can be seen that the Indian flag is hanging upside down.

If a country’s flag is upside down, it is an insult to the national flag of the country and Twitter is not happy with Yogi Adityanath for not noticing such a big mistake.

The photo was first shared by Yogi Adityanath himself but once it started getting viral and people began to troll the CM, the photo was removed from his Twitter handle.

Giriraj Singh, cabinet minister of Yogi Adityanath, was also with him but he too didn’t notice this mistake. Giriraj Singh’s Twitter handle also shared the photo and wrote,

“We have a blood relationship with Mauritius. We consider it as our family.”

The Cultural department of Mauritius has apologized for this mistake and President of Apravasi Ghat Trust Fund has issued a statement, expressing deep regret on the incident. He said that at all other places, the Indian flag was in a proper position but at one place, the mistake happened.

The member of AAP legal cell, Ankit Lal, slammed the UP CM for not checking the flag where he was sitting.

Many Twitter users also took a sarcastic jibe at Yogi Adityanath. Here are some selected tweets:
