The summer season is going to be in full swing in the country within a couple of weeks and the demand for cold drinks, ice-creams and ice-based desserts will touch the sky pretty soon.
The ice manufacturing factories will have to produce ice at a huge rate in order to fulfill the increasing demand but they should also keep in mind that hygiene and health of the public should not take a backseat in this process.
Recently a frozen rat was found in an ice block in the chiller which was procured by an ice-manufacturing factory situated in Junnar, Pune. This horrific discovery was made by a wholesale ice vendor who supplies ice blocks in bulk to hotels, restaurants, factories and street vendors as well.
The vendor saw dead rat in the ice block and he clicked photos which are currently going viral on the Internet and this has sparked outrage among citizens.

The citizens have slammed the Pune district officials, the officials of state Food and Drugs Administration and other concerned organizations for the happening of such incident.
Earlier, samosas stuffed with stones, sand, tobacco and condom packs were served in a staff canteen of an automobile company in Pimpri-Chinchwada and now this incident has scared the citizens.
This is really horrible and serious measures should be taken to avoid such things from happening.
