During an interview, Suniel Shetty remarked that his daughter Athiya Shetty had opted for a natural birth over a C-section, which he implied was a more comfortable option. This comment drew widespread reactions online, prompting Gauahar to address the issue publicly and emotionally on the debut episode of her new show MaaaNoranjan.

Without naming anyone directly, Gauahar Khan passionately spoke against the idea that a Caesarean section is an easier alternative to v@ginal delivery. She expressed disbelief that such misinformation was still being spread, particularly by individuals who had never experienced childbirth themselves. Through tears, she shared her frustration over how casually the pain and complexity of a C-section are dismissed, especially by male public figures who have not undergone pregnancy or childbirth.

She further clarified that the method of delivery is often not something a woman can choose. For many, medical necessity dictates whether a birth can be v@ginal or requires surgical intervention. Gauahar emphasised that prioritising the well-being of both mother and child is what truly matters and that no form of childbirth should be considered superior or more admirable than the other.

Having delivered her first child Zehaan via C-section, Gauahar Khan reflected on how often people, particularly other women, ask her about the nature of her delivery. She questioned the need for such personal inquiries and stressed that both types of delivery come with their own set of challenges, yet both result in the same bond of motherhood.

In a firm conclusion to her statement, she dismissed the ongoing chatter about her birthing experience by confirming that she indeed had a C-section. Her message was clear- motherhood should never be measured by the method of delivery and perpetuating such myths only deepens stigma and misinformation.
