The controversy surrounding Ranveer Singh’s exit from “Don 3” continues to make headlines after the Federation of Western India Cine Employees (FWICE) issued a non-cooperation directive against the actor. A day later, FWICE chief advisor Ashoke Pandit shared fresh details about the matter and revealed that the federation had repeatedly tried to contact Ranveer to resolve the issue.
During an interview, Ashoke Pandit said the body had invited the actor for discussions on three separate occasions but he did not attend any of the meetings. He added that the federation later received a mail from Ranveer’s side stating that the matter did not fall under their jurisdiction. Ashoke Pandit said the organisation respected his stance and would now discuss the issue further with producer bodies and other film associations before deciding the next step.
He also mentioned that sitting together for discussions could have helped both sides find a proper solution. According to him, resolving such disputes is important because the industry ultimately depends on collaboration and smooth working relationships.
Ranveer Singh was officially announced as the new face of “Don 3” in 2023, replacing legendary actors Amitabh Bachchan and Shah Rukh Khan, who previously played the iconic role. The announcement video generated huge excitement online but the film later faced delays and uncertainty.
As per multiple media reports, Ranveer Singh reportedly stepped away from the project due to creative differences with the makers. Reports suggested that the actor wanted a darker and more aggressive version of Don, while director Farhan Akhtar preferred to maintain the original tone of the franchise. There were also reports claiming Ranveer was unhappy with repeated production delays and the absence of a final script.
However, Ranveer Singh has not officially released any statement explaining his exit from “Don 3”.
